Description
At 350 metres in diameter, the basin is the largest of the post-war drainage systems on this stretch of coastline. To the south-west it is connected to the bay of Torre Colimena, while to the north-east a long trench cuts through it. The latter, running parallel to the coast, flows into Punta Prosciutto. To be found in its waters there are marine species such as mullet and sea bass, which find ideal conditions to spawn here.
